Here's my sixteen-year-old cat, Skylar, who's listed at the vet's as a known biter. His most recent claim to fame is that he's Neferet's, the vampyre's cat, in P, C. and Kristin Cast's popular House of Night series.

This is my schnauzer, Dash, named after Queen Victoria's dog and the author Dashiell Hammett.

Here I am with my good friend Jim Lehrer. Jim's the best friend and supporter anyone could have. He's also a wonderful writer.

Connecting with Each Other

One of the great pleasures of being a writer is getting to hear back from people who've read my books and shared similar experiences. I like to think that my stories put me on a first name basis with anyone who's taken the time to enter my world.
